Reading Royals Synchronised Swimming Club is one of the most successful sports clubs in Reading. Established in 1969 and re-named to incorporate "Royals" in the title before the football team adopted it, the Club has has great success both nationally and Internationally. We currently have swimmers who are part of the Senior GB Squad training for the Olympics in 2012 as well as the National Junior Squad and Development Squads. 2010 Senior Squad athletes Katie Clark, Jazmine Stansbury and Katie Skelton have had a busy year competing at European and World events.
2011 Age Group Squad Athletes Jade Hearmon, Natalie Saudan and Lucy Farrell will be competing at the Croatia Cup in June and the Comen Cup in August. They had to great trips and were rewarded for their hard work in Croatia with a bronze medal and in Italy for the Comen it was really good to hear other countries commenting on how much England had improved from the previous year. Taking their exams and also training hard and representing GB at the Junior Europeans in Belgrade. 2011 British Champsionship were held at the end of April and the Royals had a very successful meet having competed in all events for the first time and winning medals in 3 out of the 4 events - Solo bronze, Combo silver, Team bronze.
